Andrae Crouch



Andraé Crouch (1942-2015) was a Dove and Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter, and one of the father’s of contemporary Christian music. Many of his songs are considered Gospel and Christian classics, including “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power," “My Tribute,” “I’ve Got Confidence,” and “Take Me Back,” to name just a few. Andraé was also an Academy Award nominee, whose original musical arrangements are featured in such films as The Color Purple and The Lion King, as well as on the NBC television series Amen. Following the passing of his father, Andraé and his twin sister Sandra took over as pastors of the church their parents founded, Christ Memorial Church of God in Christ in Pacoima, California.
