Social Media Specialist

 

TBN is currently searching for an outgoing, entrepreneurial Social Media Specialist to build and maintain relationships with our fans and influencers on all our social media channels. Along with being a self-starter and having a pro-active attitude, we are seeking candidates who are friendly and encouraging; helping inspire our audience on a daily basis through creative and engaging content. Empathy is key to the success of this position. One of the many focus of this position is the development and publication of all social media content that supports the overall marketing strategy and objectives. You will also be responsible for all online engagements to ensure that TBN is supported and actively represented on various social platforms.

 

 

Essential job functions include:

 

• Translate marketing objectives and goals into detailed social media action plans, manage the execution of the plans, then gather relevant data to provide analysis of results.
• Work closely with the creative and production team on a daily basis to create engaging content, including writing short articles for blogs.
• Participation and moderation of all online conversations pertaining to the brand; responding to comments, addressing concerns, and answering questions.
• Includes monitoring trending topics; posting and responding, using appropriate image and video memes.
• Create monthly and quarterly reports that includes user experience, engagement, reach, website traffic etc., to determine success as it relates to the overall marketing goals.
• Create and execute brand advocacy programs.
• Develop and manage community growth campaigns.

 

 

Potential candidates should have the following:

 

• Strong understanding of the faith-based culture that will allow you to be relatable to our core audience.
• Understanding of and experience in how to handle a public relations crisis.
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, communications, or equivalent.
• 2-3 years’ experience with marketing analytics (Google Analytics Certification a plus).
• A basic understanding of the design process and video editing operations.
• Proven track record of increasing audience and engagements.
• Creative, witty with a great sense of humor.

• Flexible schedule, this job will occasionally require being ready to go at a moments notice.

• Desire to help and engage with customers, employees, and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of marketing and social media best practices.
