Planned Giving Specialist – Tustin, CA

 

 

Trinity Broadcasting Network is seeking a full-time Planned Giving Specialist who will report to TBN’s Living Legacy Director.   This position assists the Living Legacy Director in managing and processing requests, gift annuities, charitable trusts, non-cash donations, and other planned giving services. The Planned Giving Specialist for TBN’s Living Legacy department is a vital part of our planned giving team.  Along with a true passion to assist donors with their planned giving needs, this position requires outstanding organizational skills, computer proficiency, confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Excellent follow-through skills.
  • Must be systematic, detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in grammar and spelling.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as the ability to learn and master planned giving software and other programs as may be required. 
  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Basic knowledge about retirement accounts.

 

 

Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Answering department phones.
  • Communicating with donors about their planned giving needs.
  • Drafting letters and responding to emails from donors about planned giving matters.
  • Maintain estate/trusts legal files.  Electronically filing documents in office files, including file set up and organization, closing of files, and entering donor information into contact database and mailing lists as appropriate.
  • Review donor docket calendar for status updates;
  • Implementing the marketing strategy of the planned giving program, including bequest and annuity promotions.
  • Prepare illustrations for life-time gift annuities using Crescendo software.
  • Prepare sample and final gift annuity packages
  • Prepare post gift correspondence and gift administration once an annuity is received.
  •  Liquidate all beneficiary requests to TBN, including life insurance, bank accounts, retirement accounts, pension plans, life insurance annuities, etc.
  • Process and coordinate donations of stock gifts and mutual funds to TBN.
  • Process and keep record of non-cash donations to TBN.

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Have 3-5 years’ experience in a professional setting with similar duties

Must be able to type 45 words per minute.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS DIRECTOR - ORLANDO, FL

Public Affairs Director – FULL TIME, WHLV Orlando, FL

 

 

Duties:

 

  • Ensure all Public files are in order and up to date.
  • Build and file Annual FCC Report.
  • Ensure the Quarterly FCC Reports are built and filed correctly and on time.
  • Ensure all comment letters are properly filed in FCC files.
  • Act as TBN Liaison and representative to the local community and Government.
  • Create topics for taping of ‘Joy in Our Town’ local show.
  • Contact local participants to schedule programs.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls
  • Assist the Station Manager with daily administrative tasks

 

Requirements:

  • Must have excellent people and organizational skills
  • Able to use all office computer software
  • A background in television production and writing is a plus
  • Some travel may be required throughout the state of Florida

PRAYER PARTNER (PART TIME) -Tustin, CA

Prayer Partner (Part Time)

 

 

Job Summary:

 

Handle prayer line calls, take prayer requests and pledges, salvations, re-dedications, praise reports, and special requests from all over the nation and world.  There will also be some data entry work at the end of these phone calls.

 

 

Summary of essential job functions:

 

  • Ability to pray effectually, providing assistance through prayer & the word of God to those in need
  • Ability to respond to crisis calls such as suicide, anger, abuse, depression
  • Spiritually & emotionally mature, portraying a Godly character that exemplifies the lifestyle & behavior of a Minister of the Gospel
  • Ability to appropriately handle sensitive & confidential information
  • Ability to handle high call volume & work well with others

 

 

Skills:

 

  • Typing (minimum 30 wpm) & Computer skills (entering pertinent and confidential caller information)
  • Proper telephone etiquette
  • Good command of the English language
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Commitment of your life to Jesus Christ
  • Have a good knowledge of the Word of God
  • Established in a church body
  • Pastoral reference
  • Minimum18 years of age
  • Consistent commitment to fulfill the requirements of being a Prayer Partner
  • Willingness to abide by the policies & guidelines of TBN
  • Considerate & respectful to co-workers with a willingness to quickly resolve any disputes that would create strife or division in the Prayer Department
  • Honor those placed in authority treating them with respect & dignity

Applicants must be willing to work Saturday and/or Sunday on the weekends as part of their work schedule.
